Question by Nate D: What category does Alcatel 880 fall under?
I want to download apps from CNET (completely free and legal) but the Alcatel One Touch 880 isn’t on the list. They have an option to select your phone’s category if it’s not listed, but I don’t know what it is! Their choices are Blackberry, Symbian, Smartphone, Palm, PocketPC, iPhoneOS. What platform would this fall under?

What you mention as “choices” are the operating systems used by smartphones. Your phone is a “dumbphone” (i.e. does not have a proper OS and does not support apps other than silly Java ones) so look for Java and/or MIDP2.0 on that or other sites offering apps.
