A very buggy, unimplemented demo of what I call “TouchBB.” It’s a full theme/style/mod thing for phpBB3 that creates a native-app-like experience for users of smartphones such as the iPhone, Palm Pre, and Nexus One. jQTouch (www.jqtouch.com), built upon the amazing jQuery framework (www.jquery.com) brings amazing features to WebKit-enabled devices like the iPhone, including native triggers (such as a homescreen icon) and animation support. phpBB is one of the world’s most popular bulletin board software packages, allowing anybody to create a professional forum that matches – and sometimes beats – the likes of very expensive Invision Power Board and vBulletin. The long-awaited phpBB 3, which came out in 2007, brings a host of advanced and useful templating tools.
