Question by cattail_pond: Do you need to subscribe to a plan to be able to sync your PDA/smartphone with Outlook on your PC?
If it varies by phone, what phones do NOT require a plan?

it depends on what operating system the pda is running. if its a palm product, you can use programs like Palm Outlook Conduits or PocketMirror. if its a windows mobile device, simply download ActiveSync from microsoft’s website and the data will be put in outlook automatically. For blackberries, get the BlackBerry Desktop Software from their support website. there will be options for syncing with outlook.
