Question by S L: How can I create or load custom ringtones for my Treo 650 Palm Smartphone?
I have a Treo 650 PalmOne smartphone with Verizon Wireless. I’m very computer, Internet, and Palm savvy, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to to create, download or set up a custom ring tone. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
Thanks to the one answer so far, but I am surprised that, being a PDA-phone, you can’t customize the ring tones using built-in capabilities? and have to use purchased 3rd party software?

I have found the best way to do this is with Ringo Pro. It allows you to assign ringtones to individual people and groups of people. It also allows you to use mp3′s as ringtones. They also have free trial period if you want to try it first.
Now you need a program to create the sounds and you are all set to go.
